STEP 1: Install the Visual Link Easy setup add-on for Thunderbird:

          1. Right-click (or on Macintosh Control-Click) the green Download Now button below and choose "Save Link As..." to download and save the file to your computer. (Be sure to make a note of where you are saving it)

          2. In Mozilla Thunderbird, go to Tools then Add-ons.

          3. Click the Install button, then locate/select the file you downloaded and click "OK", then follow the on-screen directions.

STEP 2: Tell G-mail to enable Mozilla Thunderbird to retrieve messages:

  1. Log in to your mail account at http://webmail.visuallink.com

  2. Agree to the license agreement if presented with one.

  3. When you arrive at the Inbox, click on All above the list of messages where it says Select: All then click the link that says Select all ### conversations in Inbox.

  4. Click on the drop down menu for More Actions and choose Mark as read from the menu.

  5. Now click the Archive button.

  6. Click Settings at the top of any mail page.

  7. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP in the orange Mail Settings box.

  8. Select Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on.

  9. Choose the action you'd like your messages to take after they are accessed with POP. We suggest the option to “archive Visual Link Internet Enhanced Mail's copy”.

  10. Click Save Changes.

Did you click 'Save Changes' after enabling POP in your mail account? To ensure that your account can communicate with your mail client, be sure to click 'Save Changes' on the 'Mail Settings' page.

STEP 3: Set up your account in Thunderbird:

  1. Open Mozilla Thunderbird.

  2. Click Tools then Account Settings.

  3. Click Add Account.

  4. Click Visual Link Internet and then click Next.

  5. Fill in your name and the first part of your email address. (The part that comes before the @ symbol)

  6. Click Next, then click Finish, then click OK.

Congratulations! Once you have completed all three steps you are done configuring Mozilla Thunderbird.
